Bill Summary: This legislation appropriates $45,647 from the Executive Operating Reserve account and the Reserve Federal Programs account for additional mental health services to be delivered in the form of two new programs to assist those who care for those with mental health problems and for those with mental health problems. The bill authorizes the Mayor and Corporation Secretary to execute all necessary documents for the project.

Background Information: This appropriation is for a local match for additional State "equity" mental health funding received (25 local:75 state). A Consumer (mental health) Drop-In Center and a Therapeutic Foster Care Program will be operated by the Community Rehabilitation Center on the Northside (Council District 7). The Therapeutic Foster Care Program places persons with mental illness in adult foster homes.
