Bill Summary:  This bill appropriates $1,203,250 from the Banking Fund and allocates $1,196,750 from postponing the construction of Fire Station #40 to provide funding for the award of Capital Improvement Program construction projects for Fire Stations #32, #59, #5, and #31.  Additionally, the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program is amended to authorize priority 1 status for the projects.

 

Background Information:  Information from Fire and Rescue states that these station replacements and relocations were recommended by the Tri-Data Report to reduce response times.
