Bill Summary: The bill appropriates $147,221 of state grant funds to specific accounts with the Mosquito Control Division per state directives. 

 

Background Information:  The money is excess from prior state grants.  A new Florida Department of Agriculture regulation now requires that all state funds be budgeted, with none held in reserve.  The City will still have latitude of re-appropriating the funds in the future should needs change.  Ten thousand dollars of the money are appropriated for training and per diem to state training classes with the balance for capital equipment purchases for mobile units (aircraft, trucks, and others).
