Bill Summary: The bill appropriates $20,500 of ETR Bonds (Autumn Bonds) from District 14 excise tax revenue bond to assist efforts by the Navy-Ortega-Lake Shore Little League to rebuild the Little League facility.  A reverter clause is included should the furniture not be restored.  The bill also authorizes the Administration to enter into a contract with Navy-Ortega-Lake Shore Little League, Inc.; requests the Parks Department to insure contract compliance; authorizes using Navy-Ortega-Lake Shore Little League to purchase needed equipment, materials, and services; and waives requirement that Bond funds be used on City property.

 

Background Information: A fire destroyed most of the two-story, 2800 square foot concession stand building in June, 2006.  Total re-building costs are estimated at $55,000.  The League proposes to use City money for:

·         Shingle re-roofing          $3,000

·         Re-do all electrical           7,000

·         Replace HVAC system   8,000

·         Replace floor covering     2,500

 

Demolition and other construction work will be handled by volunteers and funded by donations.
