Bill Summary: This ordinance appropriates $118,680 from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security to provide funding for planning, traveling, training and exercises relative to terrorism prevention for the City of Jacksonville.  The Mayor is authorized to sign the necessary contracts.

 

Background Information: The federal funds appropriated by this bill are being allocated to the City’s needs, through the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs for the Homeland Security Grant Program.  No matching funds are required for the grant.
