Bill Summary: The bill appropriates $200,000 from the Special Council Contingency – Public Information account to the Public Information – Miscellaneous Services and Charges account to fund the production of a new City government television show featuring the full range of City government services and programs.

Background Information: According to the administration’s fact sheet the funding for this program was placed in a contingency account during the budget adoption process pending further development of the concept and Council approval of the new program. The program is intended to replace several existing communications vehicles, including the Neighborhoods magazine and the JaxNow, JaxParks, Jacksonville On The Move and Animal Wise television programs.
