Bill Summary: This ordinance appropriates $342,000 from the City Loan Pool to provide funding for the purchase of 24 vehicles for Code Enforcement Officers in the Housing and Neighborhoods Department, so as to provide marked vehicles that ensure Code Enforcement Officer safety and identifies the City’s presence in neighborhoods, as initiated by B.T. 07-078.

 

Background Information: Currently, most Property Safety Division code enforcement officers/inspectors use their personal vehicles to perform code violation investigations.
