Bill Summary: The bill approves requested changes to the Villages of Argyle Development of Regional Impact (DRI) as stated in the December 19, 2006 Notification of Proposed Change to the DRI. The requested changes are not deemed by be substantial in nature.

Background Information: Major proposed changes to the District 11 and 14 Villages of Argyle DRI are:

• Relocate the park/school site
• Convert the current park/school site to mixed use
• Change one parcel from major commercial to major commercial and mixed use

The change in sites for the school/park site will increase the size of this site by 8 acres. Other proposed changes will provide the developer with increased flexibility in the number of units or square feet within mixed use areas, but will not increase the total units or constructed square footage within the DRI. There are increased impacts on traffic conditions.
