Bill Summary:  This bill appropriates a $620,000 Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to provide additional funding to upgrade and digitize the Floodplain Management Data citywide.  Provision is made for appropriated funds to carryover into the 2007-2008 fiscal year.  Authorization is given for the Mayor, or designee, and Corporation Secretary to execute appropriate documents, including the agreement with Camp, Dresser, and McKee for a Master Stormwater Management Plan, and take further action to effectuate the purposes of this ordinance.  The Capital Improvement Program is amended for the FEMA Partnership in Master Stormwater Management Plan project, and the Mayor is requested to appoint the Public Works Dept. to oversee the expenditure of funds.

 

Background Information:  The City match is $124,000 (20%).  Information from Public Works states that the City’s contract with Camp, Dresser, and McKee will meet the match requirement.
