Bill Summary: This bill confirms the Mayor’s appointment of Mildred Ellen Reeves as the Chief of Employee Services within the Human Resources Department.

 

Background Information: Ordinance 2006-1194-E, enacted December 12, 2006, established the Employee Services Division.  The requirements for this position are a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, proven administrative ability, and at least five years of experience in the field of human resource management.

 

Ms. Reeves received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Jacksonville University.  She has been employed with the City of Jacksonville, within the Risk Management Division, since 1979 working her way up from Medical Auditor to Assistant Management Improvement Officer, the title she has held since 1996.
