Bill Summary: This bill appropriates $200,000 from Old
Kings Road Landfill collections to provide funding for improvements to Dinsmore Museum.
It is specified that cost estimates are approximations. The Capital Improvement Program is amended to
authorize the Dinsmore
Museum project. The Dept. of Parks, Recreation,
Entertainment, and Conservation is required to oversee the project, inspect the
completed project, and reimburse the costs as appropriate. It is required that unused funds revert to
the account of origin. Provision is made
for the carryover of appropriated funds from fiscal year to fiscal year.
Background
Information: Documentation on file indicates that the
improvements and upgrades to the building at 7126 Civic Club Drive are part of the
Master Recreation Improvement Plan.
Ordinance 2004-1144-E appropriated $200,000 for museum improvements, but
the funds were not used within the allotted time frame and reverted to the
account of origin. The Dinsmore Museum
still desires to make the improvements.
