Background Information: Ordinance 1999-129-E authorized the execution of a lease agreement between the City and PAL.  The City leased the park to PAL for park management purposes.  The lease was for 40 year. In amending the lease agreement, two (2) parcels would be pulled from the premises leased to PAL.  One parcel would be used for the construction of a skate park.  PAL would also relinquish a senior center on the premises under its management.  The Ed Austin Park, formerly known as the City’s District Two Regional Park, is located at 11751 McCormick Road, Council District 2.
