Bill Summary: The bill amends the River
City Marketplace DRI land use conversion table to provide a factor for converting
undeveloped commercial space to hotel rooms at a rate of 0.293333 peak hour
trips per room. The bill further finds
that the addition of this conversion table does not constitute a substantial
change to the adopted DRI.
Background Information: The original DRI provides
for construction of 300 hotel rooms; this bill will add a mechanism to develop
an additional 120 rooms by allowing conversion of road trip capacity from
commercial uses (15,150 sq. ft. = 120 hotel rooms).
