Bill Summary: This bill appropriates $487,000 from a
Council District 11 Autumn Bond account to assist in funding Phase I of William J. Sheffield
Park. Provision is made for appropriated funds to
carryover from fiscal year to fiscal year, with any funds not expended for said
project to revert to the original funding source. The Capital Improvement Program is amended
for the William J. Sheffield Park-Phase I project, and the Dept. of Parks,
Recreation, Entertainment, and Conservation is required to oversee the project
and the disbursement of funds.
Background
Information: The project location is 3659 New Berlin Road. The anticipated work includes design, traffic
improvements, mobilization, clearing and grubbing, entry, retention, skate
park, boating/fishing boardwalks, trail boardwalks, and an asphalt multi-use
trail.
